What are the four requested permissions for?
Makaytron requests the permissions needed to prepare and send listings. Renewing a connection does not add new permissions automatically.

Allows a draft to be created on Etsy, or permitted listing details to be updated, for a listing you approve.

Connecting, reconnecting, and disconnecting your shop
Check the connection status in your account. Listing submission stops if the required permissions cannot be verified.
When you disconnect
Disconnecting a shop immediately stops access and starts removing its connection details.Removing those details may take time. Your saved drafts and activity history are kept.

You start the connection
Start the connection from Shops. Review permissions on Etsy’s own screen. Do not enter your Etsy password in Makaytron’s contact form.

You review permissions on Etsy
Review and approve the four requested permissions on Etsy. Makaytron checks shop details and granted permissions when you return.

You reconnect when needed
Listing submission stops if shop access cannot be renewed; renewal credentials are missing, invalid, or expired; authorization is revoked; or required permissions cannot be verified. You are then asked to reconnect.

You disconnect from your account
Disconnecting immediately revokes shop access. Your drafts and operation history in Makaytron are retained.
Troubleshooting
When a connection or submission fails
Depending on the cause, you may need to wait, reconnect your shop, or retry the operation.
Your shop needs to be reconnected
When Etsy denies access, at most one connection renewal and one retry are attempted. If access is still denied, you are asked to reconnect.
Waiting for Etsy’s request limit
Makaytron follows the waiting period and usage limits specified by Etsy. Renewing the connection does not remove those limits.
Temporary network or service error
Retries are limited. A submission with an uncertain result is not immediately repeated; you can check its status in the queue.
After a temporary service error, an action can be retried up to three times, with a wait between attempts.Automatic retries require the publishing service to be enabled. Retrying cannot resolve every error.
BetaWhen Etsy’s usage limit is reached, retry timing is adjusted to respect that limit.You may still need to wait during heavy use. This feature does not remove Etsy’s usage limits.

What to know before connecting
Is Makaytron affiliated with Etsy?
Makaytron is an independent product and does not claim endorsement or sponsorship by Etsy.
Does connecting make listings go live automatically?
No. Sending to Etsy follows the scope set with user approval; connecting alone does not publish a listing. Preparation and results remain visible in the queue. If scheduled sending is available in your account, you choose its timing and scope separately; availability depends on shop permissions and the publishing service.
Can I send listings as soon as I approve permissions on Etsy?
The required permissions must first be verified. If permission details are missing or the required access cannot be confirmed, listing submission does not start.
Does disconnecting remove my local drafts?
No. Shop access is revoked and cleanup of saved connection credentials is attempted. Your drafts and operation history in Makaytron are retained.
Can Makaytron delete an entire Etsy listing?
No. Makaytron does not delete an entire Etsy listing. Editing or deleting a listing’s images, files, or videos is subject to separate permissions and conditions.
Does connecting or reconnecting use credits?
No. Connection operations do not use credits. You see the current cost before starting listing preparation or publishing operations that require credits.
